MetroFlex Acoustic Barrier is a flexible, non-reinforced mass loaded vinyl that resists the passage of sound waves and reduces the transmission of airborne noise. Metroflex Mass Loaded Vinyl Sound Barrier is 1/8" Thick (1 lb/sf) and has an STC rating of 26 which when installed properly performs simliar to a 2" x 4" wall with 5/8" drywall on each side of the wall.

MetroFlex Mass Loaded Vinyl can provide instant mass with damping to any location and create a sound seal from room to room. In walls, ceilings, floors, on machinery, household appliances, around pipes, exterior fences, doors, as curtains to divide a room or over a window, and so on.

METROFLEX'S SOUND-PROOFING PIPE AND DUCT WRAP LAG

MetroFlex's MLV Pipe and Duct Wrap Lag is a flexible 1 lb per square foot reinforced foil-faced faced mass loaded vinyl noise barrier. It is typically used to wrap noisy pipes and ducts to block the noise that transmits through the walls of the pipe or duct as air or other contents move through it as well as to increase the sound absorption in the cavity. The reinforced foil-faced exterior serves as a protective jacket for indoor or outdoor applications. It is easy to cut, wrap and install with matching sound seal lag tape.

MetroFlex Sound SealR Acoustic Sound Blocking Sealant is a high quality latex-based sealing compound used as an essential component in construction assemblies for achieving and maintaining the required STC rating as per IBC 1207.2 for air-borne sound. Sound SealR is specifically formulated for use with MetroFlex Mass Loaded Vinyl and possesses excellent adhesion to drywall, wood, metal, and concrete. It remains permanently flexible and is both durable and long lasting.

APPLICATIONS:

• Joint seams of Mass Loaded Vinyl
• Top and bottom runners prior to installation of drywall
• Outer edge perimeter joints of drywall
• Cut-outs and utility penetrations

*For use with Mass Loaded Vinyl products, this product should be used in conjunction with MLV SealR Tape.

METROFLEX'S MASS LOADED VINYL NAILS

MetroFlex's Mass Loaded Vinyl Nails are the ideal fastener for installing Mass Loaded Vinyl on walls and ceilings. MetroFlex MLV Nails have a large washer head that spreads out the weight of the mass loaded vinyl to help prevent material tearing. (which is common with regular nail/screw heads).

METROFLEX MLV SEALR TAPE

MetroFlex SealR Tape should be applied on all seams between two sections of mass loaded vinyl after MetroFlex Sound SealR Acoustic Sound Sealant is applied to the joint.

MetroFlex SealR Tape is a composite of copolymer film laminated to an interwoven alloy which provides an extremely high tensile strength while maintaining the flexibility of the mass loaded vinyl. The adhesive is a self-curing acrylic which provides a high initial tack when applied to vinyl based products. The adhesive strength increases with time creating an exceptional permanent both with the vinyl.

SealR Tape is used to seal the joints and seams of mass loaded vinyl in various soundproofing applications to ensure a complete and air-tight sound barrier system.
